The ingredients needed to make Bhuna bhaat (garlic fried rice):
- Get 2 cups Leftover raw / boiled rice
- Prepare 1 Onion medium finely chopped
- Prepare 5-6 Garlic cloves finely chopped
- Get 3 Whole red chillies
- Make ready 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- Make ready 1 tsp Coriander leaves
- Take 1.5 tsp Mustard oil / vegetable oil
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste
Steps to make Bhuna bhaat (garlic fried rice):
- Heat a heavy bottom kadhai on high flame then add oil in it.
- Heat oil till smoke comes out then reduce flame on low.
- Break chillies into pieces if you like spicy food. Put chillies, cumin seeds in oil one by one and fry for a minute or cumin seeds colour change into pink.
- Now first add garlic cloves fry for 30 seconds then add chopped onion and stir very well. Increase heat on medium flame.
- Add salt and fry onion for 2 minutes or till pink colour. Stir in between to prevent from burning.
- Now it's time to add rice in kadhai. Stir several times so that salted onion will coated evenly on rice.
- Sprinkle 2 tbsp water on rice, stir very well then cover it with lid and cook for another 2 minutes on low flame. Stir atleast thrice while cooking with lid.
- Remove lid :Sprinkle coriander leaves and stir well. Switch off the gas stove.
- Hot, yummy and easy food is ready to serve. Serve it with pickle and any vegetable of your choice.
- Do take care while adding salt ; add less salt if you are using boiled rice.
